This is Halloween, Haunt Couture style

This Halloween, the lovely team at Escentual, held an event to help inspire others on how to put together their Haunt Couture look for those Halloween occasions, as well as sharing tips on how best to apply your makeup whilst getting to know a range of products available at Escentual.

Last night I went along to the event themed as Haunt Couture, where I met a group of other like-minded bloggers who live in and around the Cardiff area, that also have a passion for blogging about all things beauty, lifestyle and fashion.

On arrival I was welcomed by a few members of staff who gave a small introduction on what to expect across the evening, before taking myself and Jade who arrived at the same time, straight to the Be At One pop up bar where a met the wonderful team and choice from a selection of themed drinks for the evening.

Having seen so many faces online amongst the blogging community, it was great to meet a few familiar faces that I have come to know so well online, as well as meeting many new ones.

The evening began with a small introduction and time to look through our goodie bags, whilst getting to know everyone at the event and finding out a little more about them. Escentual were incredibly generous with their gifts and I was incredibly excited to see the new Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette amongst the selection.

A professional makeup artist then began by asking us all to take part in re-creating the look which was put together for the themed night of Haunt Couture, and yes, I was so ready to take on this challenge!

On a big screen at the front where we could see a close up of the makeup artist applying the look on Ceryn from Escentual, we dug into our goodie bags and began to follow the step by step process on ourselves.

Throughout this I was able to learn so many great and useful tips, which I can now use in my day-to-day makeup as well. If you would like to know more about what we learnt on the night - please do not hesitate to ask in the comments below, or send me a message for more information.

The look was so fun and easy to do that I couldn't help wanting to share this with you all.

If you would like to try this look yourself, I have linked the products below and placed them in the order in which we used them:

1. Urban Decay Naked Cherry Eyeshadow Palette - shades Feelz, Devlish and Privacy
2. Urban Decay Glide-On Eye Pencil - Black Velvet
3. Benefit BADgal BANG! Mascara
4. DHC Mascara Perfect Pro -Lower lash line
5. Benefit Real False Lashes Pin-Up Lash
6. DIOR Rouge Blush Coutur Colour
7. Make Up For Ever Doulble Ended Sculpting Brush
8. Benefit Gimme Brow + Volumising Eyebrow Gel
9. GIVENCHY Majic Khol Eye Liner Pencil (If you would like to make your eyes pop even more!)
10. GUERLAIN Intense Liquid Matte
11. La Roche-POSAY Respectissime Waterproof Eye makeup Remover (This product is such a dream to use!)
12. Bioderma Sensibio H20 - Micelle Solution

To finish the look we then used cotton buds to dip into fake blood, which was then used to apply under the lower lash line, by rolling the tip in circular motions to create a 'dripping cry' effect.

This was such a lovely evening and I'm so grateful to have been able to meet so many other bloggers who were all so warm and welcoming.

The evening was finished off by drinking many more cocktails and mocktails, trying out the themed Haunt Couture photo booths and getting to know the other bloggers.

This post has not been sponsored, but I really wanted to share this Halloween look with you all as I was so surprised at how quick and easy it was to create. I've always been put off trying creative looks in the past due to my last of confidence, but I found these products so easy to use that I couldn't help but pass this along.

I would love to hear more about what you're all up to this Halloween and the looks you have been trying yourselves!

As always, until next time... would be my usual send off, but as it's my blogs relaunch day, I guess its only appropriate to begin my new signature send off...

With love, Alys
